The Virginia Professional Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation serves to support and assist the professional fire fighters of Virginia and their families during times of crisis, as well as, memorialize, recognize and train its members. The VPFF-CF is a registered 501(c)3 organization. Members of the VPFF can request a disbursement of funds for a qualifying event, or suggest a donation from the charitable foundation through the Request Assistance section of this site.
About Us
The VPFF-CF is a 501(c)3 organization and serves to provide professional fire fighters in Virginia with financial assistance during times of need. The Foundation also serves the Virginia fire fighter community in various ways including memorial services, sponsorships and training.
As a 501(c)3 organization, all donations to the VPFF-CF are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by applicable law. Checks may be mailed and payable to “Virginia Professional Fire Fighters Charitable Foundation.” Or, you may make a donation online at this link below.
Request Assistance
Eligibility
The applicant must be a current member of the VPFF at the time of the disaster or significant event. The applicant’s request must be endorsed by the President of the member’s local affiliate. If the request is being made on behalf of the member’s surviving family, it shall come from the President of the member’s local affiliate.
Process
The applicant or President of the local affiliate shall submit a letter to the VPFF-CF Chairperson or the VPFF President detailing the nature of their request. The Chairperson and President will review the request against the Foundation’s purpose and powers set forth in its Articles of Incorporation. The applicant will be notified of the outcome of their request by the VPFF-CF Chairperson. The VPFF Secretary/Treasurer will issue a check to the member if their request is approved.
